World’s Strongest Violinist Participates in 2017 West Region Honors Orchestra

For the third year in a row, World’s Strongest Violinist Evan Pittman participated in the West Region Honors orchestra, held this past Friday and Saturday at Skyline High School in Mesa.

During a weekend punctuated by unseasonable rain, fog, and cold weather, some of the top student musicians in Arizona worked through three orchestra numbers and performed them before a full auditorium.

As a first violinist, Evan joined the other strings musicians performing “The Barber of Seville,” Selections from “West Side Story,” and Danzon No. 2, a concerto by Mexican composer Arturo Marquez.
