World’s Strongest Violinist Evan Pittman recently completed an eight-day training session with Tennessee Diving in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Working under the guidance of former USA Diving national champion Michael Wright, Evan worked on several new dives in preparation for the 2017 Amateur Athletic Union Diving Nationals and the Fall 2017 Diving season at Brown University.

Evan was accepted to Brown University in December after being recruited there as a springboard diver, and will be diving as a member of the varsity team in the Fall.  He has periodically trained with Coach Wright at Tennessee Diving for the past two years.

“Coach Michael pushes me hard, and when I show up in Knoxville, I know I am there to work,” Evan says.  “Tennessee Diving has some great competitors, and just being on the pool deck all day long with those divers drives competition, plus I see Michael as a major role model.”  Wright was the first African American to win USA Diving nationals.

“It was a great trip, and I enjoyed seeing my friends there, plus the intense training I received was exceptional.”
