(Phoenix) On November 19, the Arizona Musicians on Call (MOC) organization held a launch for its benefit CD “Stronger Together,”  which features a track from World’s Strongest Violinist Evan Pittman.

Evan has been a member of the Arizona Musicians on Call group since the national non-profit program debuted in Phoenix and is their youngest musician. MOC is comprised of volunteer musicians who perform bedside for patients at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Phoenix VA Hospital. Evan’s two performance pieces – Dawning of the Day and Soldier’s Joy – appear as the last track on the Musicians on Call CD of original and traditional music.

“It was fun recording the tracks for the benefit CD,” Evan said. “I had the chance to work with fabulous Arizona musician Fred Coon, which was a great experience, and the best part of it is this CD is all about charity and creating more opportunities to support performances at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the VA.”

Prior to commencing his freshman year at Brown University, Evan performed monthly at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital through Musicians on Call, where he would walk from room to room performing popular and children’s music on his violin. Evan will continue performing with Musicians on Call in Arizona during the Christmas holiday.

The Musicians on Call CD is available for purchase at $10, with all proceeds going to the Musicians on Call organization, whose mission is to bring live music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. The Arizona Musicians on Call CDs are available now as gifts for the holidays, and may be purchased online at https://donate.musiciansoncall.org/fundraiser/1114933.
