On Sunday, December 13, World’s Strongest Violinist Evan Pittman had the opportunity to play the national anthem and selected Christmas carols at holiday event hosted by the Archer-Ragsdale Arizona chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Evan had been invited to participate by chapter president Bill Norwood after he saw Evan play the anthem and the service hymns during the kickoff of the 2015 Phoenix Veterans Day Parade.

“It was great to be able to play for the historic Tuskegee Airmen here in Arizona,” Evan said.  “My Great Uncle Charles is one of the original Tuskegee Airmen from World War II, and one of the last living WW II Tuskegee Airmen, so being able to share my music with the Arizona chapter of this historic group is close to my heart.”

After the meal and program, Evan was reintroduced and played the holiday favorites “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night,” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
