World’s Strongest Violinist Evan Pittman today joined volunteer musicians from the Phoenix area at Central Phoenix restaurant Postino’s to plan an effort to benefit the national nonprofit Musicians on Call (MOC).
The musicians, who all perform for patients at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Arizona State Veterans Home as part of the MOC program, plan to record a benefit CD to be marketed nation-wide. Sales will benefit the national non-profit program, which brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities around the country.
Musicians on Call adds joy to the lives of patients in healthcare facilities by delivering live, in-room performances to individuals undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds. Since the nonprofit was founded in 1999, MOC volunteer musicians have performed for half a million patients and their families across the U.S.
