World’s Strongest Violinist Conducts Last Day of Summer Concert at Morningstar

As other high school students bid farewell to the summer of 2016 and prepare to return to classes, Evan Pittman celebrated his last day of summer with a concert for 15 residents at Morningstar Assisted Living and Memory Care in Phoenix.

Evan has played for the residents of Morningstar on many occasions, and this was his eighth appearance at the facility in 2016.   Over 30 minutes, Evan played a portfolio of traditional popular songs, ranging from the 1964 hit, “The Girl from Ipanema,” in honor of the Brazil Olympics, to popular Irish fiddling tunes and the theme from the Ken Burns miniseries “The Civil War”  —  Ashokan Farewell.

“Closing out the summer with a concert at Morningstar was just perfect,” Evan said afterwards.  “I will have new classes and responsibilities beginning tomorrow, and this is how I wanted to spend my last free night of the summer.”

Evan’s Musical Ministry has taken him across the country, playing for weddings, funerals, and veterans’ events, as well as playing the national anthem for professional sporting events and presidential campaign rallies.  Over the past few years, he has performed for more than 70,000 people.
