World’s Strongest Violinist Evan Pittman today joined team members from the Nashville-based national non-profit organization “Musicians on Call” http://www.musiciansoncall.org to play for ailing children at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
After undergoing a multi-step qualification process, Evan today met with Musicians on Call National Music Director Dana Sones and had the opportunity to travel from room to room, playing Disney songs on his violin for the young patients in the Children’s Hospital. Phoenix is a new city on the Musicians on Call national tour.
“It was a great experience today,” Evan said afterwards. “Just seeing these little kids, some of whom are very sick, and being able to bring them joy, was a real pleasure.” Evan expects to play at Phoenix hospitals as part of the Musicians on Call team throughout 2016.
In 2015, The World’s Strongest Violinist played more than 140 volunteer hours for church services, nursing and veterans homes, and special events. He expects to increase his community service through music in 2016.
